    Rules
Do not take this too seriously.
Don't be shy. There's no snobbery here. Help make the competition a success by posting your photos regardless of your gardening prowess or lack thereof.
Where applicable, items should be your own and have been grown in the current growing season 2014. No old photos of Grandad's prize winning marrow please.
You may only enter each item once. eg. You may not submit the same photo for Best Bloom and A Rose.
When entering the largest or heaviest categories, please try your best to show a clear tape or scales measurement with the item. These are not open to a vote.
Where not specified, you may present one or as many items in the photo as you wish. Eg. Brassica - you may display one head or 12.
Please add a simple comment with your photos giving the name or variety etc. No further comments or discussion please. Feel free to use the 'Thanks' button.
You may enter as many times as you like throughout the growing season. However, before voting opens in September, you must remove your entries leaving only your best ONE per category. If you don't, I'll do it for you based on the number of Thanks you have received and you have no comeback if I add it up wrong.
Each category is restricted to 25 final entries. If the number of entries exceeds 25, the top 25 will be selected based on the number of Thanks received before Voting opens.
Winners will be awarded bragging rights. No other prizes are awarded.
Closing date for entries is Midnight 14th September. Except for Pumpkins and Squashes which will be allowed to continue to swell thus raising the excitement level to unimaginable heights. Voting will Open on 15th September, and Close at midnight 5th October.
Who will be King or Queen of Boards Gardening in 2014? Grower of the year will be awarded to the person who receives the most votes across all categories.

When posting your photo please display it on the page rather than attaching it. One way to do this …
Go to imgur.com. On the right-hand side in 'Upload images' choose 'Computer' and then browse to the image on your device. In the new dialogue choose 'Start Upload'. In the resulting screen copy the full text string under 'BBCode (message boards & forums)'. Back at Boards.ie, paste this into your post. Done.

    ^^^ re: bold.

Is their supposed to be a thread with all the winners? :)
Be nice to have one thread with the names & links to their post(s); and then if competition is repeated next-year, that thread could be used by the 2015 posters to help compare maybe.

    Thanks,
